Tell me I’m beautiful
Tell me that when we touch your lungs collapse, your heart stops, your spine liquefies, your knees buckle and your eyes water in hopes of quenching dry mouth
Tell me when I’m walking away you are looking in my direction
And not staring at my derriere but looking in hopes that I might retrace my steps
Tell me that you will be my knight in shining armor, glimmering not only in the in night but within the split second of darkness I experience every time I blink
Tell me that I am your sunshine, not because I brighten your day but because your day can not begin without me
And when I laugh at your age
Tell me you were made for me and that’s the only reason I was born first
Tell me you are more aroused by my intellect than my thighs
And when you look at my eyes you cant look away because within them you see a better reflection of your self
